Dr. Elizabeth Koehle
Dr. Elizabeth Koehle (nee Hutchesson); a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist, is co-clinic director of Active Healthcare Centre. She attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic. Previous to that, Dr. Koehle graduated on the Dean's List with a B.M.Sc.(Hon) in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Western Ontario. She is a CSIA certified ski instructor and has completed post-graduate training in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. She is also a certified Graston® practioner. Dr. Koehle’s past experiences involve working with a healthcare team treating professional soccer players, including members of the Toronto Lynx Soccer Club. She worked at Sherbourne Health Centre providing chiropractic care to the diverse communities of South East Toronto and has had much experience treating motor vehicle accident patients and dealing with insurance claims.
Dr. Koehle was born and raised in Wasaga Beach, and is a graduate of Collingwood Collegiate Institute. She is a member of the Wasaga Beach Lioness club, the Chamber of Commerce and the Wasaga Beach Women’s Business Association.
Dr. Koehle is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association.
Dr. James Koehle
Dr. James Koehle, a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist, is co-clinic director of Active Healthcare Centre in Wasaga Beach. Dr. Koehle attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic. Previous to that, Dr. Koehle attended Brock University for Kinesiology. He has completed post-graduate training in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. Dr. Koehle has additional training in low-force Activator Methods Technique® and Thompson Technique. In addition he is a certified Graston Technique® practioner and functional capacity evaluator. He has served on the medical team for the Ontario Winter Games and the Ontario Paralympic Championships. In addition, he has experience treating and working with members of the National Lacrosse League.
Dr. Koehle is a resident of Wasaga Beach, and actively involved in the community. He is the Secretary and founding member of the Board of Directors of the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre. In addition Dr. Koehle is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wasaga Beach and Area Rotary Club and a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol.
Dr. Koehle is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association.
Stephanie Stack R.M.T., Certified Doula
Stephanie Stack attended Georgian College and received her Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy in April 2007, graduating with honours. She is originally from the small town of Mount Forest, Ontario (north of Guelph) and has lived in the area for 4 years.
Stephanie has taken multiple continuing education courses and specializes in pregnancy massage, motor vehicle accidents, repetitive strain injuries, stress management, strengthening and stretching regimes and various musculoskeletal injuries. Stephanie is a member of the Ontario Massage Therapist Association. Stephanie is also a certified Doula. She offers a unique birthing packages involving patient education, support, massage and 24 hour on call labour service.
Justine Ball
Justine joined our team in June 2009 as an Office Receptionist. She is attending Georgian College for Massage Therapy and is currently in her first year. Justine graduated from Stayner Collegiate Institute in 2009 and has lived in the area for 10 years. She is the treasurer for the Barrie Snowmobile Club and enjoys snowmobiling throughout the season. Justine ran competitive sprints and hurdles throughout high school and still practices at a non-competitive level. She looks forward to entering the healthcare profession after her graduation from Georgian.
